C. Robert Sarcone

C. Robert (Bob) Sarcone (born August 3, 1925 in Newark, New Jersey), is an American Republican Party politician. He served in both houses of the New Jersey State Legislature, and sought the Republican nomination for Governor of New Jersey in 1977.
==Early life==
He was born August 3, 1925 in Newark, New Jersey, the son of Fioravante Sarcone, an electrician and immigrant from Italy, and Rosse Sarcone, who was born in New Jersey to Italian immigrants.〔(【引用サイトリンク】website=www.ancestry.com )〕 He was a 1943 graduate of Barringer High School, attended Muhlenberg College and Columbia University, and received his law degree from Rutgers University Law School in 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from February 1943 to August 1946. He was stationed in the Pacific Theater and served in Iwo Jima and Okinawa; he was present at Bikini Atoll for the testing of the Atomic Bomb.
